CR38IVES / YOUR PRIVACY

PRIVACY POLICY · UPDATED 17 OCTOBER 2026

Your ideas matter.
Your privacy does too.

Here’s what happens to the information you share when you explore CR38IVES or get in touch.

Who’s looking after your information?

CR38IVES is run by Melanie Perry and Julie Hyde Mew. Contact us about your information at info@cr38ives.com. This notice covers this website and enquiries made through it.

What you share with us

Our enquiry form collects your name, email address, business name, enquiry type and the message you choose to send. Please don’t include sensitive personal information. When you email us directly, we receive your email address and message. Our hosting and form providers may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and security logs to deliver and protect their services.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to respond, discuss membership or partnerships and keep track of the conversation. Where you ask about entering a membership or another agreement, this is processing needed to take steps at your request before a contract. For general business enquiries and website security, we rely on our legitimate interests in running the community, answering questions and protecting the service, taking your rights into account. We use consent for optional browser storage. Sending an enquiry does not sign you up to a marketing mailing list.

Who helps us deliver the site?

CR38IVES does not sell your enquiry information. Providers may use infrastructure outside the UK, including in the United States. Formspree describes its international processing in its privacy policy. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements applicable to your enquiry.

How long is information kept?

Enquiry information is needed for the time it takes to handle your request and any resulting relationship. The appropriate retention period depends on whether you join, the need to follow up, and any legal or dispute-related requirements. You can ask us what enquiry information we hold, why it is still needed and to delete it where applicable. Provider-held records are also subject to their service settings and retention terms.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive a portable copy. You can withdraw consent for optional storage at any time through Cookie settings. This does not affect earlier lawful processing. Email info@cr38ives.com to make a request; we may need to verify your identity.

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. You don’t have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve concerns.

When you follow a link

YouTube, Eventbrite and LinkedIn links take you to independent services with their own privacy and cookie policies. Our ident video is hosted with this website; we don’t embed a YouTube player or load advertising or analytics trackers into these pages.

Keeping this notice current

We’ll update this notice when the website or the way enquiries are handled changes. The date above shows the latest revision.

CR38IVES / YOUR PRIVACY

COOKIE & STORAGE POLICY · UPDATED 17 OCTOBER 2026

A little memory.
A lot of choice.

We want you to enjoy the site on your terms. Here’s what we store in your browser, and what you can say no to.

Cookies, without the crumbs

Cookies and similar technologies let a website remember information on your device. This website uses local storage for the choices described below. Local storage stays in your browser and isn’t sent to CR38IVES as an analytics report.

What we use

ItemPurposeChoice & duration
cr38ives-consent-v1Records whether you accepted or declined optional preference storage, with a date and policy version.Necessary to remember your choice. Expires in our code after six months; removed or replaced on your next visit or when you change your choice. You can also clear it in your browser.
cr38ives-motion-v1Remembers whether you enabled or paused decorative animations.Optional. Written only after Accept. Used while your six-month consent remains valid; removed if you Decline or when expired consent is next checked.

Accept or decline: both are fine

Accept allows us to remember your animation setting between visits. Decline keeps that setting within your current visit only. Either way, you can browse, watch the ident, follow booking links and send an enquiry. Your device’s reduced-motion preference is respected. If browser storage is unavailable, the site still works, but may ask for your choice again.

We don’t currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking pixels in the website’s own code. Your choice here does not authorise new categories of tracking. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for the relevant permission.

Hosting, forms and external websites

The hosting platform may use essential security, sign-in or access technologies, especially for private previews. The CR38IVES banner doesn’t control platform authentication. Sending the enquiry form opens Formspree, which may use security checks and its own storage under its policy. Visiting YouTube, Eventbrite or LinkedIn brings you under that service’s own controls. The ident is hosted here and does not load a YouTube player.

The site requests its typeface from Google Fonts. This creates a connection to Google; it is not an analytics or advertising-cookie integration.

Change your mind whenever you like

Use to accept or decline again. Declining after accepting removes the saved animation preference. You can also remove site storage in your browser’s settings. Blocking necessary platform cookies may affect access to a private preview.

Questions? Email info@cr38ives.com. Read our privacy policy for how enquiry information is handled.
